Training

We have a few options for training that is performed onsite. Which means they stay for the duration. Either 2 weeks or 1 month. Once your dog has been through training, we offer drop off/pick up a few days a week for follow up.

Our goal is that our clients can take their trained dogs with them anywhere and everywhere they go! We want our clients to be able to trust their dog because of its training and know that their dog will mind them no matter what the distraction is!! We take our dogs to the lake, to the park, to friends and family member’s houses and we want to be able to help you do the same!! 

Obedience, off-leash obedience, and manners is our main focus. 

My training philosophy is POSITIVE!!

Positive reinforcement training uses a reward (treats, praise, toys, anything the dog finds rewarding) for desired behaviors. Because the reward makes them more likely to repeat the behavior, positive reinforcement is one of your most powerful tools for shaping or changing your dog's behavior.

I do use negative punishment. This is when you take away a desired stimulus after a undesired behavior is performed making the behavior less likely to happen in the future. For example you are walking your dog and they start to pull, you stop walking and wait till your dog stops pulling.

The dogs will be taken to the dog park in Claremore, Lowe's, Tractor Supply in Pryor and different PetSmart locations for socialization.

Once your dog is in training, it's not healthy for them to have you come by to only see them and not take them home.

They do not understand "visits" like humans do. They will be anxious all over again thinking they will never see you again.

This includes 6 basic commands:

Sit, down, stay, come, leave-it, off.

• Communicate better with your dog

• Fix jumping on guests

• Fix mouthing, biting and nipping

• Stop leash pulling for good

• Get your dog to listen to you

• Get control without gentle leaders or harnesses

• Stop your dog from bolting out the front door

• Fix digging (unless there are moles in the yard)

• Stop nuisance barking

• The proper way to work stays

• How to use a “Place” command

• Teach and enforce a 100% “Come” when called 

Please bring their food, beds, toys, and treats.  At least one bag of training treats.
